Paper plate manufacturing unit

One year after Together Foundation began work, we had many youngsters who required alternative areas of engagement, apart from the bakery. The paper plate project lends itself to people of all skill sets.

Something for everyone

  • A paper plate manufacturing unit was set up in 2017.
  • Team members take turns to operate the machine through the day and every person manufactures approximately 50 – 100 plates a day.
  • The other skills taught through this exercise are cleaning and counting the raw material, sorting manufactured plates, packing and sealing the prepared material.
  • This project was launched specially for young adults who do not have the skill set for working in the bakery.
